A light and sound installation in an urban landscape.

Exploring the urban landscape

The installation ‘LIGHT & VOICES’ introduces a performative installation combining sound art, poetry, voices and light in the urban context of the city of Aarhus. The installation was presented at the roof terrace of ARoS Museum of Modern Art as part of the sound festival Spor 2012. LIGHT & VOICES revisits the work “LIGHT – Landscape & Voices”, but rather than natural landscapes, the nature of the urban context is explored.

Suprises on the streets

At the roof terrace of ARoS, the sculpture of 24 speakers was placed, presenting a new edit of the choral piece by Marie Højlund
, originally presented at “LIGHT – Landscape & Voices”. The speakers lighting up in the night connected with the windows lightning up over the city of Aarhus. As the line of laser light appeared in the sky, it could be seen from all over the city.
