The Marked Human II

The series explores a variety of expressions of fascist actions, linking together the artist’s personal experience with cancer and the larger theme of fascism, expressed in 7 small tableaus inside glass display cases. The tableaus go beyond the obvious, including for example the vindictive treatment of the Danes affiliated with Germans after the Second World War. The series is dedicated to Poul Henningsen and was awarded Anna Nordlandar’s Prize in 1997.

Work: Seven glass display cases measuring 170 x 120 x 12cm with paper, photo, tape and human hair. Exhibited/ Presented: Anna Nordlandar Museum 1997, Charlottenborg 1999.
